Through the Research line on Fire Protection Technology, the Institute researches and develops hydro-thermal-mechanical structural models and models of materials for different types of elements submitted to fire loads.

There are the next specific lines:

• Analysis of structures and elements of concrete opposite to actions of fire.
• Analysis of metallic and mixed structures opposite to actions of fire.
• Analysis of prefabricated units opposite to actions of fire.

This area will not carry out any activity that could lead to a conflict of interests with the Institute’s work as a Control Body, with regard to the products assessed, in accordance with ENAC requirements laid out in PE-ENAC-OC/01.
